Bowlee Park Housing celebrates completion of £35 million improvements to homes
Bowlee Park Housing staff, tenants and contractors G & J Seddon celebrated last week as they marked the successful installation of £35 million worth new kitchens, windows and bathrooms on
the Langley estate by ceremoniously fixing the final kitchen tile in place.
The milestone in the estate’s history was celebrated with a party at a local community centre for staff and tenants who have worked together over the five-year improvement programme to
transform the quality of life for many Langley residents.
Construction company G & J Seddon carried out all the refurbishment works which included the replacement of bathrooms, kitchens, windows and external doors existing since the properties were
owned by Manchester City Council.
Jane Keegan, Director of Bowlee Park Housing, said: “The Langley estate has thrived from the positive working partnership between Bowlee Park Housing and G & J Seddon.
"Demand for Langley homes is at an all time high since the turnaround of the estate. It is fantastic that the work is completed and has made valuable improvements to tenants’ day to day
lives. We will continue to listen to our tenants and invest time and money into the community.”
Martin Green, Project Manager at G & J Seddon Ltd, said: “It has been a pleasure to work on the Langley estate with the team from Bowlee Park Housing to improve the community for local
people.”
