NORTH HAMPSHIRES biggest landlord is laying on a free family fun day in Pyestock on Tuesday 12 August to help local families , make the most of the rather gloomy summer.
With the school holidays proving to be something of a damp squib, Sentinel Housing Association has lined up a variety of activities including a drumming workshop, dance classes, wacky science experiments, an assault course, sports tournaments, a boxing academy demonstration, and free barbecue and prize draw plus much more at Bartons Way Field from 11am to 3pm. Theres also a mystery celebrity making an appearance.
The fun day is one of six Sentinel events going on across north Hampshire, organised by staff in the landlords new Community Impact Teams.
Local neighbourhood co-ordinator Sarah Morrisen said: We normally have a staff conference around this time of year, but this time, staff said they wanted to do something that would make a genuine impact on the communities we serve.
Weve been amazed at the generosity of local businesses and partners in providing sponsorship and prizes to make sure the day goes with a bang.
Sentinel recently completed the £30m regeneration of Pyestock, providing 238 new homes for rent, part-buy part-rent, and for equity swap.
Sarah adds: Its not just for Sentinel tenants anyone can come down. Itll be a great chance to show that community spirit is alive and well in Pyestock.
