Short notice inspection consultation

A consultation paper on short notice inspection of housing associations has been launched by the Audit Commission.

The consultation follows a pilot programme of short notice inspections and is designed to shape the detailed methodology. The paper poses ten questions about the way these inspections will be organised and conducted. Responses are due by 12 September.

A summary of the responses and details of the new methodology for short notice inspections will be published by the end of September.
