When Decent Homes work began at Carl Price’s home, little did he know that his property would become the 4,000th to be successfully completed by Sheffield Homes and Kier Sheffield.
Mr Price, 43, who has lived in his property at Basegreen for 18 years, celebrated the 4,000th achievement and the transformation of his home with a celebratory cake provided by Kier and Sheffield Homes staff.
Carl, who now has a brand new kitchen and bathroom to show off, was initially anxious about having Decent Homes work undertaken on his home.
“At first I was worried about operatives coming into my home,” Carl says, “but since work began, everything has gone really well and Kier has been wonderful. The finished product is great – I can’t praise them enough!”
Kier Sheffield senior construction manager for Decent Homes, Charles Raynor, commented: “We are proud to be handing over the keys to Mr. Price at such a milestone. I am pleased he is happy with the transformation Kier has undertaken on his home.”
Sheffield Homes’ Decent Homes project manager for south area, Mark Beeley, said: “The completion of our 4000th property is a fantastic milestone for the Decent Homes work in the south area of Sheffield. Sheffield Homes and Kier have worked tirelessly with our tenants to ensure we deliver the best possible home improvements to our customers.”
