A housing association has begun a search for people to join its boards and committees to help run the £55m-a-year housing and care charitable organisation.

The Accord Group, which has offices across Birmingham and the Black Country, needs a number of people with a range of skills to help manage the organisation and ensure it delivers excellent services.

Accord is looking for a number of people with the following skills:

  • Housing
  • Property Management & Maintenance
  • Information Technology
  • Care/Community Care
  • Finance/Audit/Banking
  • Legal
  • Human Resources/Organisational Development

Accord Group Deputy Chief Executive Lakhbir Jaspal said: “We want local people to get involved in shaping the services we deliver to local communities.

“Being a board or committee members is a really rewarding and interesting way to get involved in the community and perhaps develop yourself at the same time.”

Boards and Committees normally meet every 2-3 months for an evening with an additional handful of paid-for special events or ‘away days’ each year.
