Papworth Trust's 'Three Peak Challenge' Blog

On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 June, a team from Papworth Trust will take on the challenge of climbing the Three Peaks in just 24hours.
One team member, Papworth Trust Business Manager Justin Sarginson, will write about his trials and tribulations in the build up to the Challenge. The weekly blog will talk about things such as how the training is going and changes to his diet!
Here is Justin's first blog entry:
Well, climbing three mountains in twenty four hours, that can't be
too difficult can it? Slightly complicated by the eleven hour
journey to the starting line, nine hour mini bus journey through
the UK to get to all mountains and eating, sleeping and
recuperating whilst on the bus? Easy right?
This challenge was something I thought of last year, just to set another goal for me this year and to raise some money for Papworth Trust along the way. The original idea, swimming the channel, was quickly shot down by friends, family and colleagues as being too hardcore. But climbing three mountains wasn't?
Once the idea was formed in my own mind, the next challenge was
where to begin. How could I drive a project like this whilst
working and living? Mandy Barker from our Fundraising team came to
my rescue last year. We had our first meeting with Mandy patiently
listening to my enthusiastic rants whilst formulating a plan. Mandy
quickly reined in my more foolhardy ideas and set goals for us both
to begin to overcome. Christmas came and went and 2010 duly
arrived. My to do list is large already.
