South Staffordshire PCT re-appoints Non Executive Directors

South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) has recently confirmed the re-appointments of three of its Non Executive Directors to the Trust Board.
John Yates (Audit Chair), Andre Burns and Lynne Smith will each serve a further 4-year appointment from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2013.
Chartered Accountant trained John Yates has 35 years financial management experience in the engineering, construction and transport industries and most recently as UK Finance Director of world wide distribution company TNT.
Andre Burns is a fellow of the Institute of Management Accountants and for more than 25 years has held senior positions in the area of finance in the motor industry until he retired from the role of Finance Controller at Jaguar Land Rover.
Lynne Smith practiced as a Solicitor up until 10 years ago and now works in interim management and public sector project work. Previous roles have included a number of senior management posts, including Strategic Director and Assistant Chief Executive.
The re-appointments, which have been made in accordance with the Commissioner for Public Appointments’ (OCPA) Code of Practice, have a paid remuneration of £7,882 per annum for each Non-executive director.
All Non-executive appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees political activity (if any declared) to be made public.
John Yates, Andre Burns and Lynne Smith have not declared
political activity and do not hold any other Ministerial
appointments.
