Eastenders thug confronts housing trust's CEO

Watford Community Housing Trust's CEO met with a thuggish Eastenders character when scenes for the soap were shot outside the organisation's head office building.

Actor Jamie Foreman, who plays gangster Derek Branning in the soap, posed for a photograph with the Trust's chief exec, Tina Barnard.

Tina said that Mr Foreman was "absolutely charming". But her colleague Joe Dumont was far from relaxed.

Joe, the Trust’s Communications and Marketing Manager, said: "I was supposed to be taking the picture and my camera wouldn’t work. I know what his character’s like and all I could think was ‘don’t make him angry, don’t make him angry!’”

The show's producers changed the building's sign to one saying 'Walford Community Housing Trust' and put up Christmas decorations in the reception area. The scenes will be broadcast in December.
