Around 565,000 households in London are unable to afford the costs of heating and although there is help available, many people do not know how to access it.

Newlon Fusion’s Sustainability Programme is working to change that, by reducing fuel poverty and greenhouse gas emissions and creating more sustainable communities. In February Newlon Fusion was chosen as one of the London winners of the Community Footprint Award for their work in supporting Newlon residents to save energy and live more energy-efficient lives.

To celebrate the award and share best practice in energy conservation, National Energy Action (NEA) hosted an event with Newlon Fusion to give local stakeholders the opportunity to find out more about their work. The event took place in the newly-refurbished Grade II listed Tottenham Town Hall and was attended by David Lammy MP for Tottenham.

The Community Footprint Award, developed by NEA, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), and British Gas aims to reward projects throughout England which demonstrate best practice in the field of fuel poverty and carbon savings.
