Canary Wharf Group plc has kindly sponsored the provision of the East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf’s premier venue.

Designed by Cesar Pelli and based on the Wintergardens in New York this year’s celebration award event will be held on Monday 25th June under its impressive arched glass atrium that measures 27m at its highest point.

John Garwood, Group Company Secretary, said: “The Green Apple Awards have a long and distinguished history and as a past Green Apple award winner and Green Hero, we are delighted to make the East Wintergarden available for this year’s Green Apple Awards.

The Canary Wharf estate has been leading the design of sustainable commercial buildings for over 20 years and we are pleased that this year’s winners will be recognised and rewarded at Canary Wharf.”

Richard Collins, Green Apple Awards National Co-ordinator said: “The East Wintergarden venue is an amazing space that will add enormous prestige and gravitas to our event and I can’t wait to welcome our winners to the awards.

On behalf of the Green Organisation I would like to thank Canary Wharf Group and all our supporters who make the running of the event such a success”
