Fire Rated Mailboxes lead the way in Safety and Security

The Safety Letterbox Company in association with the Fire Research Laboratory have worked together to create a range of British manufactured 1 hour Fire Rated Mailboxes.

The mailboxes are supplied with a special fire rated locking mechanism, strategically placed intumescent mailbox closures and vandal resistant anti leverage doors in a range of over 20 RAL colours (units can also be finished to comply with the 'London Underground surface spread of flame' specification.

They have been designed for internal domestic and commercial use in A4 vertical or horizontal configurations. Mail can be delivered in the front/out of the front, in the front out of the back or in the back and out of the front.

Mailbox units can be surface mounted, free standing, wall recessed or panel fixed. The mailboxes can be manufactured and supplied in pre-assembled banks to suit customer requirements.

Fire Rated maiboxes are particularly suitable when mailboxes can only be positioned within a designated fire escape route or banked in a fire rated post room.

Manufactured to a Fire integrity criteria specified in BS476 part 22 1987 clause 8 for a period of 60 minutes
