Pinnacle's Essex team has this week won a major contract to provide grounds maintenance services for the Manor of Groves Hotel Golf & Country Club in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire.

The Manor of Groves has a rich history, dating back to around 1544, and it is now an 18-hole PGA championship course set on 150 acres. Pinnacle, one of the UK’s leading grounds maintenance and housing organisations, will be providing one head greenkeeper and four greenkeepers for the contract, who will be responsible for keeping the course in play 364 days a year.

Neil Fergus, Pinnacle's Facilities Management Director, said: "This is an exciting new contract for Pinnacle on a stunning, historic location and we are thrilled to have won it. We have five of our best grounds maintenance people working on the contract who will be delivering a quality service for the Manor of Groves Hotel Golf and Country Club."

Pinnacle's Grounds Maintenance Business Manager, Mark Wells added, "We have invested £85K in new machinery which will aid us in keeping the course in excellent condition. The dedicated onsite staff will be carrying out duties such as daily raking of the 33 on course bunkers, developing new tee positions to prevent excess wear, diamond cutting the fairways and tees as well as a full maintenance program for all the greens."

This contract is worth £900,000 for five years.
