Sovini is Recruiting Trade Apprentices
The Sovini Group, based in Merseyside, is pleased to announce that they are recruiting 7-12 new apprentices for their property maintenance company, Sovini Property Services.
Sovini is working closely with the North West Training Council (NWTC) to create new training opportunities within the local area and are looking for capable and enthusiastic individuals wishing to pursue a career within the Property Maintenance trade.
They will initially take 12 candidates on to complete a three month pre-apprenticeship programme, during which they will attend NWTC and complete a level 1 qualification in Maintenance Operations. Those successful in completing the course will have the opportunity to apply for a full intermediate apprenticeship at Level 2 in maintenance operations, which will involve the opportunity to work for Sovini and alongside skilled employees who currently work within the Sovini Operations team.
The total apprenticeship can take up to four years to complete, after which they can apply for permanent trade vacancies within the business.
Director of Property Services, Phil Pemberton, said: “It is part of the Sovini mission to create training and job opportunities for the people of Sefton and beyond, so it’s great that we have the capacity to take on such a high number of apprentices, providing them with their first experiences of working in the industry.
The group - made up of One Vision Housing, Pine Court Housing, Sovini homes and Sovini Property Services – is recognised as an award winning employer – with One Vision Housing named Sunday Times No.1 non-profit to work for in both 2012 and 2013, and attaining the Investors in People Gold accreditation.
Since bringing repairs and maintenance staff in-house in September 2010, the Property Services arm of Sovini has already recruited over 280 staff, providing front-line services to customers of One Vision Housing, Pine Court Housing, and also Villages Housing which outsources to Sovini.
Anyone interested in the apprenticeship roles apply via the NWTC website www.nwtc.co.uk or call them on 0151 522 6836. Closing date for applications is Friday 23rd May 2014.
