3P Learning wins prestigious BETT Award for ICT Company of the Year (£1m - £10million turnover)

Bristol based 3P Learning, leading provider of digital resources for schools in numeracy, literacy and science, has won a prestigious BETT award as ‘ICT company of the year less than £1m - £10m turnover’.  

The award comes at the end of a very exciting year for 3P Learning, which has seen it evolve significantly from its origins as a single product vendor with its flagship digital numeracy resource Mathletics, to become a multi-product company offering additional resources for literacy and science.  The BETT judges were very impressed with 3P Learning’s growth in sales, profit and employees, saying; “3P Learning has maintained good subscription retention in a difficult financial climate, suggesting a good product and customer service. The company is achieving very good results for learners."

There are currently 4 million learners in over 17,000 schools worldwide using 3P Learning resources. Among the products showcased at BETT were the established Mathletics resource which has 2.3m learners in over 4,500 schools and homes in the UK alone, alongside its newer literacy resource Reading Eggs, which now has almost two million users around the world including 745 UK schools, up from 228 this time last year – a 320% increase.

Commenting on the company’s success CEO Jayne Warburton at 3P Learning said, “A passion for learning is what drives every single person in the 3P Learning team and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved. This award recognises the quality of the resources and services that we offer to our schools and reflects the positive impact they have on educational outcomes.”

Now in their 16th year, the BETT Awards recognise distinctive and diverse digital education resources that meet the needs of the education industry and play a key role in identifying and rewarding innovative ICT resources and services.

This year saw a 25% increase in entries for the awards so competition was tougher than ever. The judging panel, comprising leading education sector stakeholders, look for organisations and products that show a clear understanding of the sector and its needs. “While the unprecedented number of entries has made it tougher for the judges, it does mean that 3P Learning has been identified as the very best in its category”, said Caroline Wright, director of BESA, pioneers of BETT, the BETT Awards and the education sector’s trade association. 

The winning organisations were announced at the BETT Awards dinner in London on Wednesday 22 January hosted by comedienne Jo Brand.
