Positive leadership top of the agenda on EdisonLearning’s stand – Plus a chance to win a free iPad!

Published by Hayley Enright for Livewire Public Relations in Education

‘Positive Leadership’ - the theme of this year’s Association of School and College Leaders’ ASCL Conference - is top of the agenda on stand 29, where ASCL’s Premier Partner for School Development, EdisonLearning, will be offering expert advice on creating highly effective schools.

For the last 10 years EdisonLearning has worked in partnership with schools and colleges, supporting them in their drive towards continuous improvement and helping them to achieve their goals.

As the ASCL Premier Partner for School Development, EdisonLearning understands the needs and priorities of schools and colleges in a changing and challenging educational landscape. EdisonLearning has a proven track record and strong experience in helping Headteachers and Principals to implement holistic school improvement approaches uniquely suited to their needs and based upon best practice and world-class research.

Experts will also be on hand to discuss approaches towards the ‘flipped classroom’, a learning method in which traditional pedagogy is turned on its head – students watch a video in their own time working at their own pace and then apply their knowledge, seek answers to their questions and solve problems back in the classroom, making greater impact of time spent with the teacher or lecturer.

Tim Nash, Managing Director of EdisonLearning, comments: “EdisonLearning is proud of its status as ASCL’s Premier Partner for School Development. EdisonLearning’s expertise in educational research, school design and development has enabled it to understand the key ingredients for a successful school – Leadership, Learning and Teaching, and Data and Assessment for Learning. We expect this year’s conference to be the most successful yet and we are excited to reach out to educational leaders to help them bring the best out of their academic institutions.”
