50 bursaries available for two residential weekend academy events

Via the Skills for Justice, Women & Work fund, Safety Net Associates have obtained 50 bursaries for two residential weekend "Women & Justice Academy" events in Restorative Justice Approaches.
The residential weekend Woman and Justice Academy events are:
- 22nd and 23rd of January 201- The H10 London Hotel, Waterloo
- 29th and 30th of Januray 201- The Hilton Metropole, Birmingham
Overnight accommodation will be provided if required along with all meals and refreshments for the two days, this is included in the bursary.
Students to the Academy events will study the BTEC Professional Award in Restorative Justice Approaches - BTEC Level 4
This is a professional Award qualification for senior practitioners and senior staff, delivered by some of the UK’s leading experts in crime and restorative justice. This strategic course is designed to ensure that senior practitioners, managers or senior case workers are effectively qualified to understand approaches to delivering restorative justice. This qualification will also equip non case working managers to manage investigative and restorative justice teams.
The course covers what restorative justice is, how to create strategies and systems, how to implement RJ approaches, referral and delivery systems as well as working in partnership to deliver RJ in your area.
The course consists of 30 hours of learning, made up as follows:
- Pre-course assignment - 8 hours
- 2 tutorial training days - 14 hours
- Post-course work place assignment - 8 hours
If you wish to nominate yourself or someone within your organisation or partnership for one of these bursaries please read and confirm the following first:
1) The nominee is a woman whose main place of work is in England.
2) The nominee has not been granted Skills for Justice funding before.
3) The nominee is available to attend the full event as detailed above.
4) The cost of the qualification is £775. This bursary is worth £625. In line with HM revenue and customs rules VAT is payable by the organisation at 17.5% of the total cost of the qualification (£775). The nominee's organisation agrees to pay a £150.00 contribution to the qualification. The total that we shall invoice your organisation therefore will be: £285.62 (Employers contribution of £150 + VAT of £775 = £135.62).
