Riverside's Mark Browne joins the Big Lunch
A series of Big Lunches generated food for thought for neighbours from three Runcorn estates, as part of a nationwide party, developed by the Eden Project.
Local landlord, Riverside, supported the events, based on a Wimbledon theme, to foster greater community spirit.
Neighbours from Palace Fields, Halton Brook, and Murdishaw got together over lunch and cream teas to chat about their neighbourhoods and meet the people they share them with.
Vanessa Shaw, Riverside’s community engagement officer in Runcorn, said: “It was great to see people coming together to have fun and share ideas about their communities. As well as being good fun, events like this help to build new friendships that we can enjoy for the rest of the year.”
