Evolve team celebrate award
Riverside Facility Services team Evolve have been recognised for the fantastic work they do with young people across Liverpool.
Evolve were announced Apprentice Employer of the Year 2014 at the prestigious Liverpool City Region Apprenticeship Awards last week.
The business accolade is awarded for investment in staff, and for making a difference to the young people involved. Evolve community development manager Brian Gates explains: “Evolve run an apprenticeship programme and currently employ 17 apprentices. We also support colleges by providing materials and support for apprentices who do not work for the company, by taking them through mock interviews to increase their future employability.”
“Like all companies, we’re limited to the number of apprentices that we’re able to employ, but we support the wider apprenticeship movement by running a student rescue scheme. This provides students with the relevant work experience that they need to help them qualify for their chosen profession.”
Riverside group chief executive Carol Matthews, is delighted: “It’s super news. The Evolve team puts in tremendous work with our apprentices.”
Recognising some of the region’s most committed employers and most promising apprentices, and coinciding with the International Festival of Business, the 2014 Liverpool Region Apprenticeship Awards is in its second year.
