The Trident Social Investment Group are in the running for two Housing Heroes awards; Chief Executive John Morris as Inspirational Leader and IT Team of the Year, after being shortlisted from over 200 entries in the 2014 Housing Heroes awards.
In their sixth year, these awards showcase the people that are doing exceptional work in the housing sector, recognising them for being dedicated, innovative and creative individuals and teams, who are committed and passionate about meeting the needs of disadvantaged communities.
This year’s winners will be revealed on Monday, 23 June 2014, the night before the doors open at the CIH Conference and Exhibition in Manchester, and will be hosted by one of Britain’s greatest Paralympic athletes, and one of the most gifted and courageous sportswomen of her generation, Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson.
A partnership between the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Ocean Media Group, the Housing Heroes awards aim to ensure the 'unsung heroes' of the housing world are recognised and rewarded for their contribution in making housing such a vibrant and caring sector.
Chartered Institute of Housing Chief Executive Grainia Long said: ‘Congratulations to Trident for being a finalist. The housing world is full of heroes, from frontline and back office housing professionals to board members and tenants, who are making a big difference in their neighbourhoods and communities. These awards aim to make sure they get the recognition they deserve for their energy, passion and dedication.’
Ann Rivera, Trident Social Investment Group’s Organisational Development Director said: ‘Heroes are people who show drive, commitment and above all leadership. Our heroes do a variety of roles – customer facing and back office, paid and unpaid; encompassing John’s leadership at the very top of the Trident Social Investment Group, through to front line staff. To be shortlisted for two awards is fitting recognition of the commitment, care and energy our staff bring to providing outstanding services to our residents.’ www.trident-ha.org.uk
