In a bid to boost employment prospects in its neighbourhoods, social housing provider Riverside has teamed up with construction company Lovell to offer work experience placements.
The placements, based in Belle Vale, south Liverpool are for Riverside tenants, aged 19 or over, interested in the construction industry. They are offered through Springboard, Riverside’s back-to-work project.
Those taking part will gain accredited training and on site experience, during the 7-11 week placement, as well as an employment reference to enhance CVs.
Doreen Dunmore, Springboard’s team leader, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in construction and important links within the industry. The building sector is certainly in recovery, so we should be seeing a steady increase in employment prospects, especially for those with experience.”
The closing date for applications is 20 January and training starts on 27th.
