Killingworth Cobras kick off new season with new kit

Killingworth Cobras sporting their new strips
One of the UK’s leading housing associations has helped out a local under 16’s football team, providing them with new strips.
Killingworth KYPC Cobra’s U16’s successfully secured over £600 from Riverside through their community chest fund. This enabled them to purchase new strips for the team.
KYPC Cobras is a non profit organisation and play at Amberley Playing Fields, Killingworth, near Newcastle upon Tyne and play on Sundays in the NABC League
John Celino, team manager said ”the local lads of the community do what they love best. The boys are all hard working and dedicated and football teaches them to work together as well as individuals and enables them to gain skills that can help them in the future.”
The club was established in 1980 and has since then have achieved the following : 2011 Cup Winner, 2012 League Winners, 2012 Cup Finalists, 2012 Filey Fair play Winners, 2013 League Runners up and 2013 Cup Finalists
John added “we are really looking forward to what will hopefully be another successful season, and wearing our new kit.”
Steve Ward, Riverside’s Director said “we are delighted to be able to support this local team. Football is a great way to keep of keeping fit and learning the teenagers about team spirit and working together. We wish to team the best of luck for the forthcoming season”
