Gentoo’s Peter Walls named Durham & Wearside Executive of the Year 2013

Chief executive of Gentoo Group, Peter Walls was recently announced as Durham & Wearside Executive of the Year 2013 at the North East Business Executive of the Year Awards.
The awards, held at Newcastle Marriott Hotel, were organised by The Journal in Newcastle and its sister paper, the Evening Gazette in Middlesbrough.
Amongst the stiff competition in the Durham & Wearside category were: Stephen Learney - managing director of Haskel Europe, a specialist in high pressure technology, based in Sunderland; and Helen Smith - chief executive of specialist recruitment firm, Oil Consultants, Washington.
Mike Matthews of Nifco UK was named as overall Business Executive of the year at the prestigious ceremony.
