Equity grows repairs service with Forrest

Equity Housing Group has appointed social housing contractor Forrest to deliver its responsive repairs and voids maintenance services for the next four years.
The agreement is valued at £1m per year and will cover routine, urgent and emergency repairs and maintenance. Forrest will deliver repairs and renewals to tenanted properties and internal and external communal areas, as well as taking responsibility for clearance and cleaning empty properties. Emergency and out of hours work to rectify minor and major property damage and restore essential services will also be provided.
The framework agreement covers more than 4,500 properties in Equity Housing Group’s portfolio across Greater Manchester, Macclesfield, Cheshire East and West, Merseyside, Derbyshire Dales, Yorkshire and Shropshire. As part of the agreement, Forrest will also be supporting the Equity Foundation in developing projects to promote healthy living and tackle worklessness in local communities.
