A STACKSTEADS play area has been transformed at a stroke thanks to a community art project by Green Vale Homes.
The seven pieces of artwork, created by community artist Luke Smith from Burnley’s Futures Learning Trust, were unveiled at the Cutler Crescent play area.
Over 40 children and parents turned up at Stacksteads Scout Hall to help create a number of pieces scattered around the area with themes ranging from the Olympics to the Jubilee.
Mandy Whittaker, Green Vale Homes’ Housing Manager said: “The play area has been totally transformed and it looks fantastic.
“A big thank you to Luke and everyone who played their part in brightening up the play area.”
This project was delivered in partnership with Rossendale Borough Council, the Neighbourhood Policing Team, Local Ward Members and St. Joseph’s Primary School.
