Brinnington Market Traders handing out the selection boxes
During December Repair 1st held a selection box appeal for the local community and with the help and support from staff, suppliers and sub-contractors, 188 selection boxes were collected.
Of the 188 selection boxes:
- 58 were donated to the children and families at Brindale House, Stockport Homes’ temporary accommodation scheme for families;
- 30 were donated to the local Brownie Troop; and
- 100 were donated by Santa to the local children of Brinnington via First House in support of the Community Market.
The suppliers, sub-contractors and staff from Repair 1st really made a difference to these families that needed support over the festive period. The generosity shown has helped to make a real difference this Christmas, bringing delight to local residents and encouraging the festive spirit.
Mark Halstead, Customer Care and Community Manager, Repair 1st said, “This event is an initiative followed on from our Easter egg appeal. We helped out by engaging with the community at various events and passing on the selection boxes to the children and their families at this festive time of year.”
