The Berry Hill super-mums have done it again, with £1,300 from West Dean Parish Council to add to their stormingly successful playground appeal fund.
The latest wodge of cash comes hard on the heels of a whopping £10,000 grant from the Lottery and £2,000 from Forest of Dean District Council. With local cakes sales and events bringing in £3,500 the total is now topping £16,800.
Campaigner and super-granny Maureen Cotton said that this final instalment from West Dean Parish Council is the icing ion the cake.
“It’s been an amazing ride for the community. The play equipment is now ordered and it won’t be long before our kids will get their much longed for safe play area.
“Thanks to the Two Rivers community for all their support and fundraising expertise, we can now make the dream come true for our kids,” she said.
Local not-for-profit homes organisation Two Rivers plays a big part in the local community.

Fundraiser Jane Cordier said the success was down to everyone pulling together.
”Neighbourhoods are only as strong as the people who live there. Berry Hill has a real sense of community. It’s that positive sense of energy that makes all the difference,” she said.
