Cumbria Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) extends its services

With the beautiful Lake District just on its doorstep, Penrith based CVS offers help, advice, training and support to other third sector groups throughout Cumbria, whether established or starting out. 

The wide range of services on offer includes payroll, book keeping & accounts, CRB disclosures and IT support.

To complement these services, CVS have collaborated with First Adapt to offer two of their popular Knowledge Maps to other charity organisations. These are HR and Health & Safety. As existing users of Knowledge Maps, CVS point out that they provide a great management tool and can also be used as a useful home working application.

Organisational policies and procedures can be hard to work through, so being able to turn these into a set of easy to use, graphical questions and answers is ideal. The Maps save time and ensure good consistent advice for staff.

The HR Knowledge Map provides all the core information an organisation needs relating to HR policies and procedures.Legislative changes affecting HR are updated centrally, and so you will always have the latest information available via your Knowledge Map. Through the Map, you can also access your own policies and procedures. As with all the Knowledge Maps, First Adapt will work with you to keep them up to date.

All organisations have a duty of care when it comes to Health & Safety. Keeping policies and procedures up to date and in line with the latest legislation forms a key part of that process. The standard Health & Safety Knowledge Map on offer is designed to meet the needs of all organisations.
