Good Neighbours recognised at Hollinwood Awards

The outstanding efforts of Hollinwood residents to support their neighbours have been recognised in the Avenues and Hollins Good Neighbours Awards in Oldham.
Each year, the Avenues and Hollins Good Neighbours Awards, supported by Contour Homes, part of Symphony Housing Group recognises the efforts of someone who has gone the extra mile, making a positive difference in the local community by their own individual effort.
This year’s winners were nominated by residents of Contour Homes and recognises those whose efforts to support others were shining examples of community spirit.
The winners are; Alan and Ron Street and Eric and Alice Walker, Hilary Lomas and Angela Reeves for their work as chair and secretary of the Avenues and Hollins Residents Association and Shirley Buckley for her work with the local Estate Management Board.
Sarah Furbey, Community Development Worker said: “This award marks the good work in our communities that often goes unrecognised, but makes a difference to the lives of others. Congratulations to all of our winners!”
