Competing in the fight against cancer, the Trident Social Investment Group has given its full backing to its Organisational Development Director Ann Rivera, who is taking part alongside her daughter and granddaughter, in this year’s Cancer Research - Race for Life in Solihull on Sunday 1st July.
The girls have trained hard over the last few months, and put in a tremendous amount of time and effort, which will no doubt pay off when they participate in the UK’s largest women-only fundraising event series that raises millions of pounds every year for life saving research into over 200 cancers.
Since 1994, women of all ages and fitness levels across the UK have come together at these inspiring events to walk, jog or run to help beat cancer. Some women take part in celebration of surviving a cancer experience. Others take part in memory of a loved one or to give hope to a cancer-free future. But all share a common goal: to raise money for Cancer Research UK's ground-breaking work and to help save more lives.
Ann Rivera, Trident Social Investment Group’s Organisational Development Director said: ‘It is all of us versus cancer, there is still time to sign up and join the fight and all monies raised are crucial to the charity’s life-saving work. Whether you take part or sponsor friends and family, you will be making a stand against the disease and making a difference to the lives of people with cancer. I am delighted to have the support of my own organisation, one of the oldest housing associations in the Midlands, with a proud history of helping people in need and with a commitment to working in disadvantaged communities going back five decades.
It is estimated that the three generations will raise around £500 and Trident has agreed to match this and raise to £1000. To make a donation please contact
