Riversmead residents celebrate Queens’s jubilee with ‘bangers and mash’ banquet

Union jack flags and bunting took pride of place at Riversmead Housing Association’s Bircherley Court, as residents came together and celebrated the Queen’s jubilee with a royal banquet of ‘bangers and mash.’
Organised by Riversmead, a member of Network Housing Group, and care provider, Saga Homecare, the special jubilee event was supported by Hertford town’s J D Wetherspoon pub, The Six Templars, who kindly supplied and served the traditional British dish to the scheme’s 65 residents who attended.
Residents said: “The food was lovely and piping hot. The carers did us proud and worked so hard to make the day special.”
Annie Vaughan, Riversmead’s Flexicare Manager said: “Thank you to the staff at Wetherspoon’s for serving up a fantastic lunch! It’s great for residents and staff to get together and enjoy events like this. We have a close knit community here atBircherley Courtand regular social activities help to build long lasting friendships.”
