Network Housing Group, a member of the G15 group of housing associations, is pleased to announce the appointment of two new executive directors who will head up two of the Group’s largest housing providers.
With over 45 years’ experience of delivering social housing services between them, Paul Huckstep will lead Riversmead Housing Association, and Susmita Sen will lead Network Stadium Housing Association.
Paul has a long and successful track record with Riversmead having most recently served as Deputy Chief Executive and Company Secretary. He is committed to leading Riversmead in the next phase of its journey as a community-focused housing provider.
Commenting on his vision for the future, Paul said: “We must better use our resources to develop more affordable homes to meet the acute housing need in our local communities. However, simply building more houses is not enough. Our social purpose has to go beyond bricks and mortar. Ultimately we must invest in our local communities, support wealth creation and economic growth in order to improve neighbourhoods and individual life chances.”
Susmita is new to the Group and joins Network Stadium from her previous role as Chief Executive of Ealing Homes, and former Director of Housing and Interim CEO at Hackney Homes.
On her long-term goals, Susmita said: “We have a really exciting development programme ahead of us and some particularly tough challenges to face too. We are passionate about providing excellent services and creating environments that promote confidence, motivation and focus by putting residents at the heart of all operations.”Both new executive directors are committed to preparing for the growth that we need in the long-term in order to thrive as a leading provider of social housing.
Network Housing Group Chief Executive Helen Evans said: “I am delighted that we have been able to recruit such high calibre candidates. These are exciting and important times for Network Housing Group, and they will both make a valuable contribution to helping us respond to the new challenges facing our sector."
