Total Glass has entered the solar sector with the launch of Total Energy Installations that provides a complete solar photo-voltaic installation service and full customer support for domestic sustainable energy generation schemes.
The new company, based at Total’s 100,000 sq ft Liverpool window and door production facility, expands the Group’s portfolio of cost-effective energy-saving products for the home amid rising interest from homeowners.
Total Energy Installations is part of the Knowsley-based Total Glass Group, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of PVC-U and aluminium windows, doors and conservatories to the trade, consumer and public sector markets, established 30 years ago by Total Glass Group Managing Director Frank Deary.
Headed by his son Frankie and Greg McMillan, Operations Manager, TEI’s service encompasses initial advice and education to product recommendations, site surveys and installation – including carrying out customers’ Feed-in Tariff applications.
Frankie said: “The Government’s Green Deal has raised awareness among homeowners about energy-saving measures which reduce their energy consumption and lower their carbon footprint. Incentives are available, such as the Feed-In Tariffs that are designed to encourage and help more people to invest in renewable energy sources that can save them money on future bills in the long term. Despite the lower FITs, solar power generation is still a very profitable investment.
“TEI gives consumers the opportunity to save energy, save money and protect the environment with their own renewable energy source – backed with the solid reputation from a local, well-established and experienced parent company,” he continued.
Solar photo-voltaic panels that use free energy from the sun are one of the most cost-effective ways to reduce utility bills and make a positive contribution towards the environment. TEI’s expert team can advise on a range of Government-approved renewable products, which will guarantee a payback incentive to match customers’ requirements.
Frankie added: “Total Glass Group is recognised as one of the fastest growing organisations in the North West with a reputation for reliably supplying consistently high quality and thermally-efficient products. Adding the solar range to our extensive home improvement products portfolio was a natural next step to meet growing demand from environmentally-aware and cost-conscious consumers.”
Total Energy Installations is a fully-accredited Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) supplier and installer and a member of the Solar Trade Association and REAL Assurance Scheme. Its fully-qualified team only installs MCS -approved technologies, backed with a ten-year components warranty and a 25-year performance guarantee.
