Trims In Peak Condition With Sandtex Trade

Sandtex Trade’s trim systems are delivering outstanding protection to a weather-beaten village hall in the picturesquePeakPark.

The premium formulations of Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-tra and Metalgloss X-tra have been applied to external wood and metalwork at Calton Village Hall, in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Offering the benefit of time-proven quality - and assured protection of the substrate - the trim systems were specified in a shade of green to blend in with the natural beauty of the surrounding area and complement the traditional stonework of the building.

Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-tra 10-year exterior gloss has delivered a mirror shine finish to doors at the hall, as well as enhanced resistance to cracking and flaking.

The product features good flow levelling and film build, and when used as a complete system with Sandtex Trade Combined Flexible Primer Undercoat, offers the reassurance of a British Board of Agrément certificate for eight years’ proven durability, along with a manufacturer’s 10-year durability guarantee.

For external metal, Sandtex Trade Metalgloss X-tra has been used on railings outside the hall, offering a high gloss look that lasts for the long term - backed by a ten-year durability guarantee from the manufacturer.

Used in conjunction with Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat, this product can be used to decorate and protect all exterior metalwork including non-ferrous metal surfaces and weathered or treated galvanised steelwork.

Sandtex Trade Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat offers excellent adhesion and proactive rust-inhibiting properties. The system overall offers an excellent, flexible, high-gloss finish that won’t crack, flake or fade, - no matter how extreme the weather conditions and how intense the UV light exposure.

Calton Village Hall committee member Rod Campbell has helped oversee the specification of Sandtex Trade products at the community venue. He said: “We are delighted with the result. We will not have to worry now about redecoration for a number of years and the paint all looks superb.”

The Sandtex Trade systems also include Sandtex Trade Eggshell X-tra, which provides a contemporary eggshell finish. This product can be used outdoors on both wood and metalwork, and it features a highly durable formulation geared-up to cope with all the rigours of harsh outdoor environments.

Added UV inhibitors reduce sunlight fade, and the coating flexes with te substrate as temperatures vary, to avoid flaking and cracking.

For maximum protection, this system works with Sandtex Trade’s Flexible Primer Undercoat for wood, or Rust Inhibiting Primer Undercoat for metal.

Sandtex Trade Flexigloss X-tra, Eggshell X-tra and Metalgloss X-tra are all available off the shelf in a range of popular, ready-mixed shades and they can also be tinted and mixed in almost 2,000 additional colours from the Sandtex Trade Colour Collection.
