Elderly residents from a housing scheme in Swindon received a surprise visit from Sanctuary Housing’s regional director, who swapped his usual role for the day as part of National Customer Service Week.

Regional director Richard Keeley went ‘back to the floor’ and joined staff and residents at Laurel Court independent living scheme to help serve cuppas and take part in the morning’s duties.

The visit marked Sanctuary’s commitment to participating in the national week, which is organised by the Institute of Customer Service and aims to promote good customer service and the vital role it plays within companies.

Speaking about the visit, Richard said: “I had such an enjoyable day at Laurel Court and was privileged to meet so many wonderful residents and dedicated members of staff.

“National Customer Service Week is an important initiative which we take part in every year – delivering excellent customer service at Sanctuary is something we aspire to do every single day.”

With 64 apartments, Laurel Court in Upper Stratton is home to 67 residents, aged 58 to 96.
