The South Holland Junior Wardens supported by L&H Homes, South Holland District Council and Lincolnshire Police got their hands dirty last week, taking part in a litter pick on the Royce Road area of Spalding.

The South Holland Junior Wardens also invited local businesses and residents to join them, promoting cleaner, safer, greener living in the neighbourhood.

A considerable amount of rubbish was collected - significantly improving the appearance of the estate.

Elaine Donaldson, L&H Homes Neighbourhood Officer commented “The South Holland Junior Wardens do a fantastic job keeping the area tidy and promoting environmental issues to the people living on the estate and visitors to the Skate Park on Fulney Fields. It is really nice to see a younger generation who want to make a difference and are proud of the area they live in."

Avril Berry, Community Participation Officer at South Holland commented "It’s great to have this group of young people who are willing to work with agencies and give up their spare time to improve the appearance of their neighbourhood – they are a credit to the younger generation."
