Crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is offering up to £2,000 reward today for crucial information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the sexual assault on an 81-year-old woman in Newcastle.

The incident happened on Tuesday, July 12. The woman was walking from Dunstanburgh Road onto Kennington Grove in Byker at around 7pm when she was approached from behind by a man who grabbed her with one hand in a sexual manner, while using the other hand to try and cover her mouth to stop her crying out.
