Papworth Trust welcomes seed funding

Papworth Trust has received a generous donation that will help
clients in the Gardening Group at its Centre based in
Cambridge.
The £1,000 cheque was from Weymans funeral services in
Cambridge, who have offered to sponsor the Group.
The money will go towards building a vegetable garden for clients
at the Centre to use. Clients will learn about how to arrange
hanging baskets; where vegetables come from before they arrive at a
supermarket; and looking after your garden.
John Aves, manager of Papworth Trust’s Centre in Cambridge,
said: “We’re delighted to have received this donation
from Weymans.
There are many benefits to the Gardening Group from promoting a
healthy lifestyle to cooking the produce that the clients will
grow.”
The cheque is the second donation from Weymans to the Papworth
Trust Centre. Last year, money was donated after clients at the
Centre said that they would like a Nintendo Wii for everyone to
use.
