Three brothers under 10 run the Mini Great North Run for TreeHouse

Three brothers from Hednesford in Staffordshire aged 9, 5 and 3 will be running the BUPA Junior and Mini Great North Run this weekend to raise money for TreeHouse, the national charity for autism education. Joe, the oldest, was recently diagnosed with autism and when given the option of choosing which charity to run for, he chose TreeHouse.

The race takes place on Saturday 19 September and Joe will be running the two mile course; and younger brothers Will (3) and Ben (5) will be running for one mile. As their parents Sarah and Alan put it, “that's a marathon for their little legs!”

Sarah and Alan added: “We are so proud of Joe, Ben and Will for taking this challenge on for TreeHouse. We have been training together in the local park and we’re all ready to go now! Joe has Dyspraxia as well as autism so this is an even bigger challenge for him.”

They money they raise will make a huge difference by helping us make sure the one in 100 children with autism in the UK get the education they need.
