Advice, information and company for older people - new venture in Didcot

More than 50 older people from across South Oxfordshire attended a new project which launched with a party at Soha Housing's Barnes Close Community Room on Thursday 10 September. The Golden Age afternoon, a venture by Age Concern, Soha Housing and the Vale GP Consortium, will take place between 2 and 4pm every second Thursday in the month at Barnes Close. Information and advice will be available along with entertainment over a cup of tea. Richard Peacock (pictured) of Soha Housing said, "This is a terrific example of us all getting together to plug a gap in provision for older people in the area. The number here today suggests this monthly event, hosted by Soha, is really going to 'hit the spot'." For more
