Together with Play England, Participation Works has developed a How To guide aimed at all those involved in designing and developing play spaces for children and young people.
In December 2008 the government launched the first national Play
Strategy for England, which includes a capital investment programme
to create 3,500 new or refurbished play sites. How to involve
children and young people in designing and developing play spaces
aims to support this initiative by providing introductory advice
and practice examples of how to involve children and young people
at all stages of the design process.
Participation Works has produced a series of free ‘How
to…’ guides available to anyone with an interest in
youth participation.
Participation Works is a consortium of six national
children’s charities aiming to enable organisations to
effectively involve children and young people in the development,
delivery and evaluation of services that affect their lives.
