The work of Lucy Bolden, community services manager at Papworth
Trust, has been highlighted in social care magazine, Community
Care. It comes after Lucy won their Community Care Champion award
for her commitment to Papworth Trust and promoting equality for
disabled people.
Lucy joined Papworth Trust eight years ago and in that time has
truly embodied the values of the organisation. She has led the
development of the
Disability Resource Centre in West Suffolk, in Bury St Edmunds,
project managed the development of the Papworth Trust Centre,
Huntingdon (part of the Foundations for Living development), and
helped secure a number of major care and support contracts.
Adrian Bagg, Chief Executive of Papworth Trust said: "We pride
ourselves on coming up with pioneering ways of doing things and
then making them happen. For Lucy to be recognised in such well
respected awards simply demonstrates how committed our staff are to
achieving equality, choice and independence for disabled
people."
In total, Papworth Trust
won three awards in the categories of: User Involvement;
Community Care Champion and Partnership Working.
