Voluntary and community groups in the East Midlands looking to improve their projects for children and young people are being offered free training. The course is for community organisations looking to increase children and young people’s participation in their settings.
‘Ready Steady Change’ training is taking place on May 7 in Leicester and is free for voluntary and community groups, but there is a charge of £85 for statutory bodies. This one-day course introduces participants to a selection of training methods and tools to enhance their skills and knowledge in increasing children and young people’s effective participation in decision-making. The course focuses on values, change and action. Ready Steady Change approaches participation from a children’s rights framework and is suitable for all individuals involved in participation work.
