A new publication from Participation Works provides information on involving children and young people in applying for funding.
Participation Works has produced a series of free ‘How to…’ guides available to anyone with an interest in youth participation.
How to involve children and young people in applying for funding, explains the importance of involving children and young people in funding applications and how this can be done effectively. It
outlines what funders are looking for in terms of participation and to what extent involvement is suitable. It is also showcasing examples of funders requiring evidence of children and young
people’s participation in the application process. There are also a number of case studies showing successful funding applications that involved children and young people of different
projects. Finally there are some guidelines on how this should be done or not.
Participation Works is a consortium of six national children’s charities aiming to enable organisations to effectively involve children and young people in the development, delivery and
evaluation of services that affect their lives.
