Sensory suite success for Wythenshawe!

Benchill Community Centre has been successful its application to the Children in Need Appeal for a purpose new sensory suite. The Centre was awarded £17,135 for this specialised space, where
children can be tactile and have fun in a world of colour and creation. The suite uses technology and therapeutic techniques to support, stimulate and progress rehabilitation for children and young
people with problems relating to anger management, learning disability, sensory disabilities, physical disabilities, depression and a number of other conditions and problems that are prevalent in
our community.
The suite is available to groups who use the Centre, subject to a small fee to pay for maintenance of the room. It includes a heated waterbed, music, aromatherapy and various other sensory
activities.
