Holocaust Memorial Service
Published by webmaster for Salisbury District Council in Communities
Salisbury District Council and Salisbury Cathedral have joined forces to mark the seventh annual Holocaust Memorial Day by hosting a service at Salisbury Cathedral at 5.30pm on Tuesday 30 January.
The theme this year is The Dignity of Difference. The theme encourages us to look at what we learn from the Holocaust about the consequences of exclusion based on people's difference from us. It explores the opportunities this history gives us to consider how we can create a society based on respect for difference.
Chairman of the council, Cllr Catherine Spencer, is attending along with other councillors and members of community organisations.
