Andre 3000 could be perfect role model
Outkast frontman Andre 3000 is proud to be a role model for children.
The rapper - whose lyrics contain references to violence and sexually explicit swear words - insists he is a perfect person for young children to look up to.
He said: "Kids look up to me. I believe I send out a good message."
The flamboyant artist - who has a nine-year-old son Seven - says his music is inspired by his own deprived childhood.
Andre grew up in very poor neighbourhoods but insists the hardship has made him a better artist.
He said: "As a child I didn't have any money. I didn't expect anything of my own because I wasn't used to it. I guess it was a tough life but it was the kind of street life that a lot of people had."
