Local people will soon be able to have their say on local services and local issues when Sevenoaks District Council carries out its three-yearly residents' satisfaction survey.

During September, 2,400 randomly selected residents will receive a questionnaire from the Council covering a wide range of local issues. They include anti-social behaviour, refuse and recycling, recreational facilities, residents' experience of contacting the Council and their overall satisfaction with the authority.

The satisfaction survey is carried out every three years by all councils nationally and most of the questions and the way the survey is carried out has been set by central Government.

Once complete, the results will be shared with central Government so that local and national comparisons can be made.

Cllr Peter Fleming, the Leader of Sevenoaks District Council, says: "This is one of the most important pieces of research the Council carries out as it allows to us to see where we have improved over the past three years and how we compare to other similar councils. I am keen that those who receive this questionnaire complete it so we can find how well we are doing and where we need to do better."
