Ealing Credit Union has been re-branded as CUBE the Credit Union for Brent & Ealing. The name change is joined by a brand new logo and demonstrates the Board of Directors determination to promote the credit union across the whole of the new common bond area.
Since adding Brent to their common bond last October Ealing Credit Union has increased its loan book by £100,000 and added almost 100 new members.
Ealing Credit Union now has payroll deduction arrangements with:
Ealing Council
Catalyst Housing Group
Brent Housing Partnership
Brent Council
ECT
May Gurney
In addition there are a number of school savings clubs in Ealing with hopefully more to come in Brent over the coming months.
With the increase in loans and new members, Ealing Credit Union’s Directors have now widened their product offering by launching their own Cash ISA.
With a projected return of 2.5% the Ealing Cash ISA is sure to be a winner with the serious savers in Brent and Ealing especially now that the tax free limit has been raised to £5,340.
Members with an existing Cash ISA may transfer it to the Ealing Cash ISA provided that the sum being transferred does not exceed £12,000.
Louise Egan Chair of Ealing Credit Union said.
“Our lending has been going very well over the last 12 months and we felt that it was time to give something back to our members in order to stimulate their saving. We are very hopeful that this year we will be giving a good dividend to our savers but the Cash ISA gives them another option that should appeal to members seeking an ethical investment.”
