Institute of Neighbourhood Justice Professionals invites new members

Neighbourhood Justice Professionals across the UK are being invited to join the "Institute of Neighbourhood Justice Professionals" (INJP). Membership to the institute is free and open to all individual practitioners or managers working within the field of Neighbourhood Justice.

The INJP is a professional practitioner-led organisation supporting the development and representation of multi-agency neighbourhood justice practitioners, case workers and managers. A Neighbourhood Justice Professional is any practitioner at any level working within the following fields:

- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Central Government
- Children's & Families
- Community Safety
- Community Safety Partnerships
- Courts and Tribunals
- Crime Prevention
- Domestic Abuse
- Drugs & Alcohol
- Education
- Environmental
- Fire & Rescue
- Health
- Housing
- Legal
- Mediation
- Prisons
- Probation
- Restorative Justice
- Road Safety
- Transport
- Victim & Witnesses
- Youth Diversion
- Youth Offending
- Law Enforcement

Approved members of the INJP will be able to use the letters MINJP after their name and will become a part of the first officially recognised institute for this often overlooked multi agency/organisational field of work.

The Institute does not allow organisational, affiliate or corporate membership at this stage and only allows individual practitioners as members. There is however no limit to how many members from a relevant organisation or agency can join.

The institute aims to be a representative body for individuals working within the sector and is currently working towards chartered status with the Privy Council.
