Funeral services at a Berkshire crematorium are being broadcast live over the internet for £60 a time.

The borough council has fixed a digital camera inside the chapel at Easthampstead Park Cemetery and Crematorium so mourners across the globe can take part.

Funeral services will be transmitted on a password-protected website anywhere in the world.

And for anyone still unable to take part, CD and DVD recordings can also be bought.

Councillor Iain McCracken, Bracknell Forest Borough Council's executive member for leisure and corporate services, said: "This new service allows friends and family who are unable to attend a funeral the chance to pay their last respects.

"With more and more people moving to other parts of the country and around the world, the ability to show funerals online enhances the range of services available at Easthampstead Park."
